This books's main topic is IJN carrier and carrier based fighter/bomber's development. The best part of this book, is its unique inside view of carrier's hangar. Not many books talk about how carrier organize their hangar. With 3dcg's help, this book reproduce the scene of hangar. Plus the parallel cut through view help you understand how planes stored inside carriers, and the vertical cut through view show you where are those major departments of a carrier. This books also carries some war time photos, as great company of 3dcg pictures, I like it.One shortcoming is some pages wasted on battles of carriers, as author trying to cover too much topic, instead of focus on techical part of carries and carrier fighters/bombers.
